5th Annual Andre and Chris Mock Draft

Andre and Chris Draft

Rules: As in the past Chris and Andre will alternate pick unless Andre has the Bears pick or Chris has the Packers pick, in which case we would hand the choice over to the other person and those will be noted in Bold. Our philosophy in this process was that we were acting as the General Manager for each team. What that also meant was that we were taking the tendencies of certain coaches into consideration as well as the fan base.

New rules: trades were allowed. We both have to agree that it is a fair trade and it has to legitimately align with the 3000-point value scale. With that said, you also have to consider that a team that wants to trade up will offer a higher value and a team that wants to trade down will accept a slightly lower value.

Round 1 – Chris has odds and Andre has evens unless noted by #Chris made the pick +Andre made the pick.

As we got started we did not want to be too trade happy but there were a few moments where we decided to open the phones. In the end, we inadvertently made the 2nd round pretty entertaining but we did not realize that until we got there.

Trades:
*New York Giants received Cleveland’s 4th overall pick, 35, and 64 for 2nd overall pick
**Indianapolis received 12th,53rd, 121st pick from Buffalo for 6th overall pick.

Round 2 – We were hours into the draft at this point. Round 1 took quite some time but we had a second wind. Once we got going, we realized that our trades from round 1 allowed a few teams to really load up on some rebuilding talent. RBs quickly became a premium in the second round and we were much more furious about our picks.

In the end, this continues to be a practice in two different opinions on players. Yet, there were times where a player that a lot of others like fell very far down the board or was not drafted as both Andre and Chris felt the player was a bust. We had some great moments where one of us was surprised at a pick (Chris was very surprised at Andre’s Mason Rudolph to Steelers pick).

Thanks for reading!
