Wild and crazy time! A top 10 scenario that will never happen but sure would be fun!

With the most recent trades things are already crazy and I have been thinking of a scenario on draft day that would be even more wild and crazy and fun. Considering team needs, players that are being abandoned by their teams, players that I think are going to be taken at certain spots, and the way things fall: here is a fun top 10 on draft night. There is no way this happens but I wanted to create a crazy scenario of trade-a-palooza. I like to think of this as looking into 10 different crystal balls, shattering each one, and reconstructing a single one from all of the parts.

1.    Jaguars – Pick: Trevor Lawrence QB Clemson – Look, I cannot change this pick.

2.    Jets trade pick to 49ers: Jets get: 3rd overall pick in 2021, 49ers 2nd round pick in 2021 (43 overall) and 2022, 49ers 3rd round pick in 2021 (102 overall)

49ers select Zach Wilson QB BYU – The 49ers get the true apple of their eye and go all in leveraging all of their future. I am not saying it is smart but 49ers do have a really good team. Wilson stays calm in an offense with a good OL and plenty of weapons. This would be absolutely ideal for Wilson.

3.    Jets - Pick: Mac Jones QB Alabama – Jones is not the best QB in this draft nor is he really worthy of 3rd overall. However, he is hands down the most equipped QB to handle being in New York and start right away. He plays really well for the Jets for the majority of his career and ends with being right up there with all of the good but never great Jets QBs like Pennington and O’Brien.

4.    Falcons trade pick to Patriots. Falcons get: 15th overall pick in 2021, Patriots 1st round pick in 2022 and 2023, Patriots 4th round picks (120 and 122)

Patriots Select Justin Fields QB Ohio State – The Patriots understand the price that the 49ers paid to get from 12 to 3 and offer up a similar package to move up for Justin Fields, the apple of their eye. I am not a fan of Fields but it sounds like the Patriots might be?

5.    Bengals – Pick: Penei Sewell OT Oregon – The Bengals are tempted here to listen to crazy trade offers but in the end, stick to their guns and protect their big investment from last year and solidify the offensive line with Sewell

6.    Dolphins – Pick: Kyle Pitts TE Florida – The Dolphins moved up here for a reason. They stick to their board and give Tua another dynamic receiving option despite the fact that they need to solidify their defense.

7.    Lions – Pick: Ja’Marr Chase WR LSU  - The Lions are getting a call from within their division but they are not going to help somebody in their own division and they love Chase so they go with him here.

8.    Panthers have their QB and they have a very desperate team on the phone so they trade the pick to the Bears: Panthers receive Pick 20, Bears 2022 first round pick, Bears 2nd round pick (pick 52). Panthers send Pick 113 to Bears as change.

Bears Select: Trey Lance QB North Dakota State – Bears get desperate to move up for a developmental QB at all costs. Dalton holds the reigns for the first part of 2021. Then midseason throw Lance into the fire and make a big spark to attempt to save Pace and Nagy’s jobs.

9.    Broncos – Disappointed that they missed out on Lance, the Broncos make a call to the 49ers for another trade before they make their pick. The Broncos send Pick 71 to 49ers for Jimmy Garoppolo.

The Broncos then send a package with a plane ticket to Brazil along with a contact that will guide him into the rainforest to the Mawe tribe. Jimmy G goes through the manhood test of the Bullet Ant glove (non-throwing hand) to feel so much pain that his body goes into an anti-injury overdrive and he will stay healthy for the remainder of his career. Once he gets back to Denver, he starts out as Drew Lock’s back-up to light a fire under him. Garoppolo wins the starting job in training camp and the rest is history.

Broncos Pick: Micah Parsons LB Penn State – They cannot believe that Parsons is still here and they can use a dynamic player like him so they jump on him.

10. Cowboys – Pick: Caleb Farley CB Virginia Tech – Nothing crazy here except the Cowboys roll the dice that Farley will be all better after his back surgery.

That rounds out the craziness of the top 10 inside Andre’s reconstructed crystal ball. Obviously this is outrageous but it sure would be fun to see so many teams going all in. Thank you for reading!
